De collectie vensterglas van het Abdijmuseum Ten Duinen 1138 is een van de omvangrijkste in Noordwest-Europa. Deze belangrijke verzameling bleef lange tijd onopgemerkt. Natuurlijke verwering en slechte bewaaromstandigheden hebben de collectie zwaar aangetast. Recente inspanningen voor consolidatie en wetenschappelijk onderzoek leiden tot een opwaardering en openen nieuwe perspectieven voor gelijkaardige collecties in Noordwest-Europa.
Het 6de internationaal colloquium van het Abdijmuseum Ten Duinen 1138 (2-4 oktober 2013) stelt de onderzoeksresultaten voor op het vlak van:
- Archeologische collecties vensterglas in Noordwest-Europa
- De bijdrage van toegepast wetenschappelijk onderzoek binnen vernieuwend interdisciplinair onderzoek
- De productie, uitwisseling en sociale waarde van vensterglas in het verleden.
Call for poster sessions proposals
Are you involved in an interesting project or in an area of work that you would like to discuss with or show to other congress attendees? Why not present your work in one of the two poster sessions at the ‘Lost Luster’ congress of the Abbey museum Ten Duinen 1138? This is an ideal opportunity to present your work in an international conference and to be exposed to the most recent developments in the research on archaeological window glass.
We are pleased to invite you to submit your proposal in one of the two following poster sessions:
1. October 3rd, 2013 –“Archaeological collections of window glass and applied scientific research”.
2. October 4th, 2013 – “Production, exchange and social value of window glass between the 10th and 18th c.”
